Intermediate Class

Once you’ve earned your stripes in Fundamentals, the Intermediate class is where the game opens up. You take the positions you’ve drilled and start building real sequences — chaining attacks, hunting submissions, and discovering the options the basics were setting up all along. Most of the room is blue belt and above, so the rounds are sharp and everyone pushes each other.

Ahmed Elwany leads this class. As a Renzo Gracie purple belt and the academy’s head coach, he keeps one foot in the fundamentals while opening the door to the harder material — new guards, counters, and the small details that separate a move that works in drilling from one that works on someone trying to stop you.

Whether you’re training to compete or just want to get genuinely good, Intermediate is where your Jiu-Jitsu stops being a checklist of moves and starts becoming your own.

The results speak for themselves. Ahmed Saradar started here with no experience, earned his blue belt, and went on to compete and medal. Mohammed Abdulkarim came up through this same program to become the first Iraqi to stand on an AJP Grand Slam podium — bronze in Abu Dhabi — and topped the Iraqi ranking in his division.
