100 square metres of mat area. We moved here for one reason: privacy and room to train, with nothing else in the way.
The space is built for grappling. Proper mats, enough room to move, good ventilation, no distractions. We didn’t chase aesthetics — we created an environment built for champions. There’s a changing room with showers and toilets. Two parking garages serve the building.
We didn’t start here. The academy opened at Blackmamba in September 2020, moved to Alpha, and landed at Esporta in September 2022 — our home since. We needed privacy, especially for the women’s class. The basement gives us exactly that.
First-timers sometimes hesitate at a basement entrance. Then they come down the stairs. What changes their mind, every time, is the energy in the room — the people are the reason this place feels the way it does.
