This summer, three competitors from Team Elwany, Mohammed, Rami and Zain, will proudly represent Iraq at the prestigious AJP Tour in Jordan , where they are set to showcase their skills, dedication, and the spirit of Iraqi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in GI & NOGI on a global stage.

Mohammed Abdulkereem, is currently ranked #2 at
Men’s Amateur White 23-24, AJP Tour 2023-2024.
Mohammed is a rising star in the BJJ community. His remarkable skill set and strategic prowess have quickly propelled him to the top of his division. As he steps into his first competition as a blue belt, the expectations are high for his performance.

Rami AlJubory , making his competitive debut, is eager to demonstrate the dedication and hard work he has put into his training. His entry into the sport is highly anticipated, and he aims to establish a strong foundation for his competitive career.

Zain AlJubory , debuting as a White Belt
Alongside his brother, Zain is set to make his first appearance on the competitive BJJ scene. This event is particularly notable as Zain is the first in Youth Division from Iraq to compete abroad in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Alongside his brother, Rami, Zain’s debut marks a significant step in his journey, fueled by the same rigorous training and passion for BJJ that defines the AlJubory brothers.

Led by Head Coach Ahmed Elwany, with recent valuable assistance from professor Ali Alabed who conducted classes last week, our athletes have undergone intensive training. They’ve focused on strategic gameplay and peak physical conditioning, preparing for the unique challenges of their respective divisions.

Representing Iraq in an international BJJ competition carries significant weight. It highlights the growing standards of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Iraq and underscores Team Elwany’s commitment to nurturing top-tier talent. For our competitors, it’s an opportunity to showcase their skills on a global stage and to represent their country with pride.

As the AJP Tour approaches, the narratives of our athletes—from the AlJubory brothers making their debut to Mohammed Abdulkereem stepping into the blue belt division—illustrate a journey of growth, ambition, and the pursuit of excellence. We invite you to support them as they prepare to take on some of the best in the world. Follow our updates and join us in cheering for their success at the event!
