No-Gi is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the kimono stripped away — no sleeves, no collar, nothing to hold but your own frame. You control with underhooks, wrists, the head and the hips, and you learn to finish when everything is sweaty and slippery and nothing stays where you put it. Ahmed Elwany runs this class.
The game here is takedowns and wrestling, grip-free submissions — leg locks, guillotines, and the chokes and joint locks that never needed a collar in the first place — and the scrambles that decide a match when there’s nothing to hold and it comes down to speed, pressure, and reading your opponent a half-second early.
Ahmed treats No-Gi as the place your Gi game gets tested: if it holds up without the grips, it holds up anywhere. Expect hard rounds and honest training. If you’ve earned your three stripes and you want to wrestle, this is your class.
