Kids BJJ in Erbil — Ages 8 to 14

Kids ages eight to fourteen, with four coaches on the mat watching every roll.

BJJ teaches kids something most sports don’t: how to stay calm when they’re uncomfortable. On the mat they learn how to move, how to fall safely, how to control their bodies, and how to solve problems under pressure. The techniques are real BJJ — not watered down. The pace is set for kids; the content is the same foundation adults build on.

There’s a belt and stripe system with proper grading ceremonies, so kids have something concrete to work toward and a clear way to see their own progress.

On safety: coaches are always watching, and two beginners are never allowed to spar each other. Nobody gets thrown in the deep end. And there’s no bullying in this academy — not on the mat, not off it.

For a kid who’s shy, or who needs to move more, this is the place to change that. As the owner puts it: “They need to change their lifestyle, and Jiu-Jitsu is the only sport that will do that.” Discipline here comes from the training itself, not from rules posted on a wall — and it shows up outside the gym, in school and with friends.

The class is coached by Ahmed, Hiba, Stefanos, and Ahmed Saradar, with senior students helping out. No experience needed — kids start from the beginning, together.
